- Riddle 2 -

Originally, these riddles were presented such that players needed to solve each clue in turn before being presented with the next. To keep the website tidier, all of the clues are here. Each answer is a single word.

Stage 1
Our journey begins phonetically,
Put Kay before the three seas.
Where Nevill went, but not for golf.
(Change the end of this URL please).
[Ignore this line]

Stage 2
Lyrics from a trance-like state, perhaps?
No more cursed than blessed.
The name of a manifesto.
I'm sure you can work out the rest...

Stage 3
Our next step finds the Coritani,
A hay market connected with fame,
A place with an annual mela,
and a face of "The Beautiful Game".

Stage 4
I'm shortening his name a bit:
We'll drive Ade up the Wall.
Say "Fare thee well", as we depart
And heed our next stop's call.

Stage 5
A French man - not a racing champ -
Sailed from Cádiz at speed.
In the tenth month happened a struggle
Which saw an Englishman succeed.

Stage 6
Don't let the cryptic put you off
If anxiety you feel.
A cigarette for Mr. Ley?
His title blurs the "real".

Stage 7
Incarcerated in a French town,
With a Jackpiner for aid.
To avoid a lengthy holiday,
The Gendarmes you evade.

Stage 8
At our penultimate destination
There's a bowl for holding fruit,
A magazine you shouldn't be looking at
And more cigarettes, to boot.

Stage 9
We're nearly there, we've reached the end!
I hope you've had a blast.
To carry on, please join the dots
'Tween all the places passed.

A one-word answer links them all.
I hope I haven't board you.
As a poet, I've enjoyed my role.
As players, I've adored you.
